CANSLIT Inc. wholly owned subsidiary of Imaflex Inc. is located in Victoriaville Quebec, Canada. Only two hours east of Montreal, it operates out of a 50,000 sq. ft. facility, and employs 35. Canslit specializes in the application of a thin layer of aluminum vapor on numerous polymer- based films including polyethylene polyester, polypropylene and nylon. This manufacturing process, know as "metallization" is accomplished under vacuum conditions with speeds upward of 1500 feet per minute. Metallized films have traditionally been used in the packaging of food products, such as ground coffee, potato chip bags, and chocolate bar wrappers, resulting in better barriers and longer shelf life. However, these films are also being used in agriculture, insulation, photography, aerospace, and numerous other industries.
IMAFLEX USA Inc. wholly owned subsidiary of Imaflex Inc. operates out of a 65,000 sq. ft. facility located in Thomasville North Carolina. Imaflex USA Inc. operates 5 mono layer extrusion lines and one multi layer extrusion line. Imaflex USA specializes in laminating LDPE, embossed HDPE, and general packaging films of all types.
