Mr. Nolan is a tax lawyer. Previously he was a partner with the law firm of Lavery, de Billy which he joined after graduating from the University of Montréal Law School in 1988. He also graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts in administrative and Commercial Studies. His practice is split between tax litigation and tax planning for owner-managers and high net worth individuals as well as private and public companies. He is again cited in the current edition (2020) of Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading practitioner in the field of Tax Law. He has been an investor in start-ups and small cap companies for over two decades.
